Standards: ASTM B348, ASTM F136, ASTM F67, AMS4928
Reference Standards:
- GB 228: Tensile test method for metals
- GB/T 3620.1: Titanium and titanium alloy grades and chemical composition
- GB/T 3620.2: Chemical composition and allowable deviation of titanium and titanium alloy products
- GB 4698: Sponge titanium and titanium alloy chemical analysis method
Technical Requirements:
- The chemical composition of titanium and titanium alloy bars must meet the rules in GB/T 3620.1. If retesting is needed, the allowable deviation must follow GB/T 3620.2.
- The diameter or side length of hot-processed bars and their allowable deviations.
- The diameter’s allowable deviation for cold-drawn rods after hot processing by turning (grinding) and cold rolling.
- The roundness of the bar after hot processing should not exceed half of its dimensional tolerance.
- The indefinite length of the processed bar is 300-6000 mm, while the indefinite length of the annealed bar is 300-2000 mm. Fixed or double lengths should be within these ranges, with an allowable deviation of +20 mm. The double length should also be included in the cutting quantity of the rod, with each opening quantity being 5 mm. Fixed or double lengths must be noted in the contract.
